Cooking Steps
  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, slightly under al dente. Drain and mix with cheese sauce.
  2. Stir in additional shredded cheddar cheese to enhance creaminess.
  3. Cover and chill mixture in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours until firm.
  4. Shape mac and cheese into 1 to 1½ inch balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Freeze the shaped balls for 20-30 minutes until firm.
  6. Partially cook the thin-cut bacon in a skillet for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Wrap each chilled mac and cheese ball with bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until bacon is golden brown.
  9. Broil for an additional 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness, watching closely.
  10. Let the bites rest for 5 minutes before serving with dipping sauces.
